The E3D is a 3D visualisation tool for the EPD program.

Requirements

• Java JDK or JRE 1.4.1+ (http://java.sun.com)
• Java 3D 1.2.1+ (http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/3D/)
• Best run on windows XP at a screen resolution of 1024x768+

2D Controls

• The user can click and drag with the mouse over the 2D fitness
  and height images to scroll around the fitness landscape.
• VCR controls allow the user to progress and return through
  evolutionary "time".
• The user can also drag the slider to move throught evolutionary
  "time".
• For "fine grain" control, the slider value can also be
  incremented by the arrow keys when is is selected.
• "3D" button initialises (and disables for performance) the
  3D visualisation window.

3D Controls

• When the 3D visualisation is initialised, by clicking the mouse
  within the 3D visualisation, 3D control is possible.
• Clicking and dragging the mouse over the visualisation allows
  the camera to pan and tilt.

Search Space Matrix

• This window describes the current layout of the chromosomes within the visualisation landscape.
• The user can also view and navigate the EPD genospace by clicking and dragging the search space matrix window.
• 3D & 2D visualisation components are also updated when the user alters the search space matrix genotype layout.

Color Schemes

• The user can select from 6 preset colour schemes, and or
  modify them via the drop down "choose colour" box.
• The user can also define their own color gradients, up to a
  total number of 10 different colours.
• A grid overlay is also provided, allowing the user to overlay
  dotted and line grids.

Numerical Output

• Provides per timestep detailed information on the fitness and
  frequency of each geneotype in the population
